Trial lawyers to Obama: Don’t deal on tort reform in healthcare neogtiations
John Edwards is probably the most recognizable "trial lawyer" and you have heard recently how amoral a man he is. This is just a feeling, but it is my belief that the majority of trial lawyers that specialize in medical malpractice are not doing it to improve the quality of healthcare. They are in it for the MONEY and judges, who are lawyers themselves, in class action suits, make sure the lawyers get their FAIR share and then some. This article says that these lawyers are fearing what Obama will do in eliminating people’s rights when the real issue is safety in hospitals.
Excerpt: Weiner, who worked in the Clinton White House, said, “Why don’t we give a little on that and put some limit on [caps] and then get all of this national health insurance coverage for people and protect them with it? It’s not that much of a price. That’s part of the sausage-making that I think we could done that actually might have made a difference.”
If the RINO's accept something like this, we will be well on our way to socialized medicine. Read article here.
