Schools face big budget holes as stimulus runs out

Obviously this was a big waste of stimulus money which was used to delay the inevitable rather than create real jobs. As you read this article, you will see obstructionism by unions that are again helping to destroy our economy by demanding benefits that cannot be paid for. Our education system is one of the costliest in the world with some of the worst results. It is not the teachers, it is the bureaucracy, its regulations and outdated methods that are leaving our children behind. It is time to equip all our schools with modern technology, lessen the influence of unions and challenge private enterprise to come up with a solution. As evidenced by the un-funding of charter schools in DC, the Government cannot and will not succeed. Only local control and private enterprise, spurred by the need for educated workers can solve this problem.
