Oil Rig Warnings Prior to Explosion, Ignored By Obama Administration?
This brings up the question of who knew what and when and what could have been done to mitigate the problem and also what was actually done prior to the explosion. I am not one of those that believe the Federal Government has the ability or knowledge or responsibility to correct all problems that come up. But I do believe that, the truth should be told and the "political blame game" not be played. BP is at fault for their lack of concern for safety and prevention, environmentalists and their friends in government are to blame for forcing drilling to insane depths rather than the shallows or on land, the government is to blame for making the problem worse by not suspending the Jones Act and allowing all foreign countries that have varying degrees of solutions to participate in the cleanup, and also, you Mr. President Obama, for using this catastrophe to further your insane liberal agenda.
Truth? Or "political", You be the judge.
Excerpt: It seems incomprehensible that you Mr. President and other members of the administration still have your jobs when it is now being reported that the federal government was apprised by BP on February 13th that the Deepwater Horizon oil rig was leaking oil and natural gas into the ocean floor . In fact according to documents in your own department's files (MMS) you knew that BP was fighting large cracks at the base of the well for roughly ten days back before the spring thaw had arrived. Further it seems you were also apprised six weeks prior to the rig's fatal explosion that killed eleven of her workers, when a smart guy from Berkley, you know the global capital of intellectualism, announced to the world a near miss on the rig by stating, "They damn near blew up the rig." It's also now being reported it appears that BP was asking for your help on this matter long before the deadly accident and the now gushing well of tar.
As a matter of fact it appears they told you on February 13th, and desired your help.
Given this new bit of revelation Mr. President I'm not sure how you can sleep at night knowing that your inaction did cost the lives of eleven family men in Louisiana. You've repeatedly said Mr. President time and again that the buck stops with you. Though that seems like propaganda when you follow it up with the faux outrage of seeking derrieres to boot.
So does the buck stop with you?
Are you going to insist that Mr. Salazar step down from his post in disgrace and shame? Will you hold another prime time television press conference and tell the entire truth to the American people? These would be the actions of a man the buck stops with.
I know when this news was breaking midday on Saturday you and the Vice President were out on the golf course. Was it 39th or 40th time you've played a round in 18 months?
Never mind, your priorities are for you to decide.
At least until election night... February 13th, 2010 - Obama's date of Infamy
