My Comments on Job Report
Was listening to Bulls and Bears today and heard the "token" liberal, Julian, state that the "bogus" (my word) employment numbers were encouraging since thousands of jobs were being lost each month under Bush in 2008, but now there is a gain. Although the rest challenged the numbers, no one challenged the reasoning.
My take on the numbers is that there is a core number of employees that, short of going out of business, a company will not go below. Jobs in excess of this core were purged during the end of Bush's term and Obama is reaping the benefits of the fact that businesses are as "mean and lean" as they can get, and the natural business cycle is taking over.
