VFW COMMANDER MOVES TO DISSOLVE PAC FOLLOWING CONTESTED ENDORSEMENTS
Another example of liberals taking over an organization and going against its core purposes.
Excerpt: After members’ outcry over a number of political endorsements reached Richard L. Eubank, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Commander-in-Chief didn‘t hesitate to ask the group’s PAC to rescind them. But the VFW PAC was unrelenting in their choices leaving Eubank one last option. In a Memorandum to the VFW’s National Council of Administration, Eubank has called for a vote of “no confidence” to disband the VFW PAC.
It is now evident to most of the VFW leadership, both National and especially the departments, that the VFW has been subjected to extreme negative publicity throughout the nation, and the recent endorsement decisions have, in fact, harmed the VFW’ s reputation and future ability to fulfill our mission.
I cannot let this erosion of public support for our great organization continue. …
The backlash doesn’t stop there, however. The VFW’s Ladies Auxiliary has also pulled all its funding from the PAC, a significant amount of the total funds raised for it.
